Description

Ninja Warrior follows Takashi, son of Arashi, through a land called Tochi on a straightforward errand of revenge. The story is thin scaffolding for the fighting, and the game is honest enough not to pretend otherwise.

Weapons carry the design. Swords, axes, hammers and shuriken each have their own attributes, and the game expects you to change between them rather than settle on a favourite — a hammer that flattens ordinary enemies is the wrong answer to something that closes distance quickly.

Bosses are where that choice is tested. Beasts, witches and rival ninjas each punish a different habit, and the game leaves the approach open: face one directly, or work around it as a stealth problem instead.

Between fights there is an inventory, upgradeable skills and maps with paths worth exploring, so progress is not only a matter of winning the next encounter. Costumes change how the ninja looks without pretending to change the fight.
