Description

The dolphin lives in the water and does its work above it. Dragging back sets the angle and strength of a leap, releasing sends it, and from that point on physics has the wheel — there is no correcting a jump once the dolphin has left the surface.

Obstacles are there to be smashed rather than avoided, but only if you arrive with enough behind you. A shallow leap bounces off the thing you were trying to break, so the aim has to account for what lies beyond the first obstacle as well as the obstacle itself.

Coins mark the routes worth taking, and they are usually strung along an arc rather than a straight line. Following a line of them is the game teaching you the shape of a good jump, which is more useful than it sounds once the obstacles start arriving in groups.

Bosses close out the ocean worlds and ask for the same skill under more pressure, since a missed jump gives them a free move. The worlds change colour and layout as you go, and the one control — drag and release — never changes with them.
