Cinema Business starts you with one screening room and a queue that is shorter than you would like. Unlocking more rooms brings more people through the door, and the whole operation grows from there — staff, facilities, and the counters that sit between the entrance and the seats.

The snack corners are the part worth paying attention to. A ticket gets somebody into the building; popcorn and burgers are what they spend on once they are in. A cinema with plenty of screens and one understaffed counter leaves most of its money in the queue.

Staff have to be hired and facilities upgraded, and both are ways of removing a bottleneck rather than adding capacity for its own sake. Adding a room while your existing rooms are only half full is the mistake the game quietly lets you make.

It runs as an idle game and keeps earning while you are offline, so progress does not require sitting with it. Coming back to a full till and deciding what to unlock next is most of what you actually do.
