Idle Restaurant: Empire Tycoon runs a restaurant that is stacked vertically. Kitchens sit on their own floors, the dining area is somewhere else, and everything cooked has to travel between the two.

That makes the elevator the real bottleneck. Upgrading kitchens raises how much food you produce, but production you cannot move is production you cannot sell, so a building with fast kitchens and a slow lift earns less than a balanced one. Finding where the queue is forming is the whole management job.

Managers are how you stop doing it by hand. Each one automates part of the operation, and once enough of them are hired the restaurant keeps trading while you are away, so opening the game again is mostly a matter of collecting and deciding where the money goes next.

Two currencies split those decisions. Cash covers the steady upgrades; diamonds are scarcer and best saved for the ones that lift the whole operation rather than one floor of it. Temporary boosts multiply income for a short window, which pays off most right after an expansion rather than before one.
