Description

Restaurant Simulator starts you behind a counter doing everything yourself: taking the order, assembling the burger, handing it over. It is manageable for about five customers, and the queue is the point at which it stops being manageable.

Growth means stepping back from the work. Hiring a chef, a waiter and a cleaner removes three jobs from your hands and adds a wage bill, and the moment when hiring becomes cheaper than doing it yourself is the actual decision the game is built around.

The menu widens from burgers to pizza, fries, drinks and desserts, and every addition slows the kitchen while it pays more per order. Adding a dish before the kitchen can keep up is how a profitable restaurant becomes a slow one.

New branches are the endgame, and they multiply everything, including the problems. It is a proper management loop rather than a tapping one, and it rewards the player who watches where the queue actually forms.
