Description

A ninja runs across a city roofline and you supply the jumps. The buildings are not uniform — the gaps vary and so do the heights — so each leap has to be judged on its own rather than fallen into a rhythm.

Obstacles sit on the roofs themselves, which means clearing a gap is only half the problem. A jump long enough to reach the next building can still put you into something standing on it, and the safe landing is often shorter than the one you could have made.

The physics are smooth and consistent, and that is what makes the game fair. A jump behaves the same way every time, so a fall is always a misjudged distance rather than the game changing its mind — which is the difference between an endless runner worth repeating and one that is merely frustrating.

The score is distance and there is no end to run toward. That puts the whole appeal in the attempt after the one that just failed, and the restart is quick enough to keep taking it. Keyboard or touch both work and neither needs more than one input.
