Description

Obby Rainbow Tower is a climb against the clock. Each floor of the tower is a short obstacle course, and the only goal is to reach the top faster than you did last time.

Ice is what catches most people. Landing on an icy tile keeps you sliding after you have stopped pressing anything, so a jump timed correctly still ends in the gap if you took off from the wrong surface. Judging where you will stop, rather than where you land, is the habit the tower teaches.

Moving platforms and spinning lava bars run on fixed cycles, which makes them learnable. A floor that seems impossible on the first attempt usually just needs you to wait half a second longer before jumping — the instinct to move immediately is the thing costing you the run.

Snowstorms and portals break up the pattern, and the two-player side-by-side mode turns the whole thing into a race where watching the other screen is the mistake.
