The Fancy Pants Adventure: World 3 gives the stickman in orange trousers a personal reason to run: his sister has been taken by pirates, and the levels are what stand between them.

The movement is what the series is known for and it is intact here. Speed carries you along walls, slopes turn into slides, and the fluid transitions between running, rolling and jumping mean a good player never really stops moving.

Underwater sections break that rhythm on purpose. Momentum works differently below the surface, and the sections that feel awkward are the ones where you are still playing them like dry land.

Squiggles and stars are hidden throughout, and they unlock costumes — which is the reason to explore the secret levels rather than run for the exit. The hand-drawn world is as much of a draw as the platforming.
