Description

Smash Defense hands you a bat and points at the sky. Monsters fly in from the edges in waves, and the only thing between them and you is a ball you keep hitting back into them.

Because the ball keeps travelling after you hit it, position matters more than reaction. Where you stand decides the angle it leaves at, and a swing lined up through the thickest part of a wave clears far more than a swing that merely connects. Chasing the ball is the fastest way to let a wave past.

The ball itself changes as you go, taking on fire, electricity and explosive force, and each of those alters what a good angle looks like — an explosive ball rewards hitting into a crowd, a fast one rewards hitting through a line. Upgrades between waves make the change permanent.

The settings shift with the levels, from deep water to erupting volcanoes, which keeps a run from looking the same all the way through. It plays with WASD, the arrow keys or the mouse, whichever you reach for first.
