Grenade Simulator is a sandbox with no objectives. There is no score, no timer and no way to fail. You get a set of explosives and an environment to use them on, and that is the whole game.

Grenades are thrown wherever you click, and the blast falls off with distance, so what actually happens depends on how close you place them to something breakable. Mines work differently: they sit where you put them and wait, which makes them the tool for setting up something bigger rather than for immediate damage.

The interesting part is chaining explosions together. One blast can throw debris into a mine you laid earlier, which triggers that one, which reaches the next. Getting a long chain to run end to end takes a few attempts, and rearranging the pieces between tries is most of the fun.

Structures come apart under the blasts and the debris stays where it lands, so the scene changes as you work and no two sessions leave the same mess behind.
