Description

Fight for the Tree rests on an unusual premise: the thing you are defending is a forest. Dark forces want it gone, and your character stands between the two.

Combat runs by itself, including once the tab is closed. Experience and resources keep stacking up while you are away, so coming back after a few hours means finding enough put aside to open the next thing.

What makes it more than a counter going up is the captive saplings. They are freed one at a time through fighting and exploring, and each rescue gives a concrete reason to push on to the next map.

The maps range in mood from calm to grim, and that changing scenery keeps an automatic game feeling like it is moving. You still have work every time you open it: choosing where the accumulated resources go.
