Description

Battle Heroes 3 casts you as a mercenary sent to the border of the kingdom. The job sounds plain at the start, and what makes it grow is how much of it you get to develop yourself.

Fighting pairs steel with magic. Combat skills handle whatever is already close, while spells deal with what is still far away or simply too numerous, and players who neglect one of the two hit a wall sooner.

Progress branches in several directions at once: the hero, the warriors who follow you, towers, auras, weapons, and magical items you assemble from what you find. Which branch you feed first is what makes two playthroughs diverge.

The part that sticks is the companion. You can raise a dragon or a cerberus from small, and it grows according to the attention you give it rather than arriving finished as a reward.
