Description

Bento Match is a sliding block puzzle dressed as a Japanese lunch box. Blocks are moved around a grid, and a complete horizontal or vertical line clears and pays out coins.

Sliding, rather than dropping, is what separates it from the usual block game. Several blocks move together when there is room behind them, so a single drag can rearrange half a row — useful when it is planned and awkward when it is not.

There is also a way out of a bad board: blocks can be repositioned without clearing anything, at the cost of a life. That trade is the real decision in a tight level, since spending a life to unlock a board is sometimes cheaper than forcing a line that leaves the grid worse.

Coins go into the collection. Bento designs come at different rarities, and the rare ones show up occasionally as you keep playing — which gives a reason to keep clearing lines after the puzzle itself has become comfortable.

Game Controls

How to Play:

  • Slide: Drag blocks to new positions on the grid
  • Clear: A full horizontal or vertical line disappears
  • Move several: Blocks shift together when there is space behind them
  • Reposition: Moving without clearing costs one life — use it to unstick a board
  • Collect: Spend coins on new and rarer bento designs
