Paradise Journey: Match3

Paradise Journey opens with a postcard rather than a board. Episode one is Mahé, gateway to the Seychelles, and the card explains that Mahé is the largest island in the group, ringed by lush mountains, tropical forests and crystal-clear beaches.

Two lines of rules follow. Swipe to swap adjacent elements and make them three in a row, then combine epic elements with usual ones by their similar item.

The board itself is a wooden tray set against the same beach, and the pieces are holiday souvenirs: green cocktails, treasure chests, beach balls, grilled meat, red crabs, lifebuoys, starfish and dragon fruit.

A bamboo bar across the top carries a heart showing the score you need to finish the level, a coin total and an episode and level badge. One swap made three beach balls, the board collapsed to fill the gap, and the score panel went from blank to forty-eight.
