Description

Animal Bus Traffic Jam is a sorting puzzle dressed up as a traffic jam. Buses sit bumper to bumper, each half-filled with the wrong animals, and the only way to move any of them is to fill one with passengers that match.

Moving an animal is easy; deciding which to move is not. Every passenger you shift takes a seat somewhere else, so a bus you were close to completing can be spoiled by one careless placement — and with the jam packed tight, spare seats are the resource you run out of first.

Sorting works by type or by color depending on the level, which sounds like the same job and is not. Color sorting lets you group animals that look alike; type sorting scatters the same colors across different buses and forces you to plan further ahead.

A completed bus drives away and frees the space behind it, which is where the relief comes from. Later levels add animal types and squeeze the arrangement, so the jams take more moves to unpick.
