Description

Drift Donut is built on a single input. Hold to drift, release to straighten, and keep the car on a road that curves back into itself. That is the entire control scheme and the entire difficulty.

What makes it hard is that the correct amount of drift changes with speed, and speed only ever increases. A hold that traced the ring perfectly on the second lap sends you off the outside edge on the sixth. You are re-learning the same corner at a slightly different angle, over and over.

The roads change shape as you clear them, and a wider donut is not necessarily easier. More room means longer between corrections, which is exactly when a small drift error becomes a large one.

Points buy cars, and cars handle differently enough to be worth switching rather than collecting. A heavier car forgives late corrections and punishes early ones, which reverses everything you learned on the starter model.
