Description

Battle Racing Stars puts characters from several Halfbrick games on the same track — Barry Steakfries out of Jetpack Joyride, the Ginger Ninja from Dan the Man, the Fruit Ninja crew — and races them side-on.

It is a runner rather than a racer. The track scrolls on its own, so there is no steering and no throttle; staying ahead means jumping the gaps, ducking the obstacles and bouncing off the platforms without losing rhythm.

Power-ups picked up along the way are what turn a position around, and each character also has a special skill of their own. Both are held on separate buttons, which means the decision is when to spend them — early to build a lead, or late to steal one back.

Races are short and crowded, and the pack stays close enough that a single missed jump usually drops you several places rather than one.
