Description

Car Eats Car: Volcanic Adventure is a side-on driving game set on roads cut through volcanic terrain. The campaign has you working toward freeing friends who have been locked up, one stage at a time.

The ground does most of the work against you. Roads climb, drop away without warning, and throw in jumps that land badly if you arrive at the wrong speed. Getting through a stage is usually less about flat-out pace and more about arriving at each jump with the car settled.

Police cars turn up to ram you off the road, and they hit hard enough to matter. You can outrun them on a straight, but the terrain rarely gives you a long enough one, so most encounters are about absorbing the hit and keeping the car pointed forward.

Stage earnings split between engine power, armor and fuel capacity, and armor is the one that changes runs the most — it decides how many police rams you can shrug off before the run is cut short.
