Real War: Not Fake
Description
Real War: Not Fake is a running battle in which the only thing you truly control is which gate you walk through. Your soldiers move forward on their own in a plastic-green crowd; ahead of them the track splits, and each side carries a number — one that multiplies the army, one that subtracts from it.
That single choice, repeated, is the whole strategy. Taking the multiplier over the subtraction sounds obvious until the better gate sits on the far side of the track and moving the crowd across costs you the soldiers already lined up on the wrong side. Reading the next two gates matters more than reacting to the one in front of you.
Weapons are picked up the same way and change what the crowd can do, so an army that arrives large but badly armed can still lose. Waves of enemies meet you along the track, and each stretch ends with a boss far bigger than anything you have been shooting at.
The tone is unserious throughout — the title admits as much, and so does the art, which is toy soldiers rather than anything resembling a real battlefield. A run is short, and the whole thing plays with one hand.
Game Controls
How to Play:
- Move: Steer your crowd left and right across the track
- Choose gates: Take the gates that multiply, avoid the ones that subtract
- Collect: Pick up the weapons scattered along the way
- Fight: Your soldiers fire on their own — your job is positioning
- Bosses: Each stretch ends with a much larger enemy
