Description

Animal.io drops you onto a small grass island ringed by water, and everything past the grass counts as a loss. You control a blocky animal with a single move: a swing of the tail. Sliding a finger or the mouse steers, and a tap swings. Anything the tail connects with gets shoved, so where you are standing decides most of it.

Food on the ground changes what your animal is. Meat makes you bigger, a hamburger lengthens the tail, and a mushroom shrinks you but makes you quick. None of them is simply the best. A long tail reaches further, while a small fast animal is harder to line up against, so a round is a run of trades rather than one upgrade path.

The scoreboard in the corner lists everyone on the island with their level and knockout count, so you always know who is ahead and who is already out. The brief is put plainly: knock them all off and survive to the end. The edge does not care how big you are, and drifting too close to it is a mistake of its own.

Between rounds there is a level to raise, a ranking list, and a shop of animals still to unlock. The rounds are short and the whole control scheme is one gesture deep, which suits a few minutes at a time more than a long sitting.
