Description

Fishing Duels is match-3 with somebody breathing down your neck. You each get your own board, you each need the same number of orange fish, and the first to reach the target wins.

That changes how you play a board you would otherwise take your time over. The big combo you can see forming three moves away is worth a lot — unless your opponent finishes while you are setting it up, in which case it was worth nothing. Knowing when to take the quick match instead is most of the skill.

Fishing gear mixed into the board gives you a reason to look away from the fish. Matching hooks and rods triggers bonuses that clear more of the board at once, so a detour to line them up can pay for itself — or cost you the round.

Matches are short by design. There is no long game to settle into, just a sprint where every move you skip is one your opponent gets to make instead.
