Description

Eat The Fish IO drops you into an ocean full of other players, all of them the same shape as you and all of them hungry. You are a fish with a blade on your nose, and so is everybody else.

The rule that shapes every encounter is where the blade works. A strike only lands from the side or from behind, which means charging straight at another fish is the one thing guaranteed not to work. Every attack is really a manoeuvre — getting around somebody before they get around you.

Eating smaller fish makes you bigger and refills the mana that boost spends, so speed and size feed each other. That also makes boost a decision rather than a button: spending it on a chase you lose leaves you slow in open water with something larger nearby.

It runs in real time against other players and the leaderboard sits alongside the arena, so a good run is measured against people rather than against a score curve. One finger steers the whole thing.
