Description

Bomb Bug has lost his gems and the levels are laid out to be searched rather than run through. Bombs are the standard tool — they clear destructible scenery, deal with enemies and trigger things you cannot reach by hand.

The suits are what open the map up. The dragon suit shoots fireballs, the ninja suit sticks to walls and throws bombs that stay where they land, and the penguin suit stops you sliding on ice. Each one answers a particular kind of obstacle rather than making you generally stronger.

That turns exploration into a question of matching. A ledge above sheer wall is a ninja problem; a frozen corridor that keeps carrying you past the door is a penguin problem. Recognising which is which is most of the game.

Switches, doors, teleporters and stompers fill out the levels in the classic way, and artifacts are hidden for players who look properly. The pace is unhurried, so it rewards checking a room over rushing through it.
