Description

Memory Lane splits every level into two halves. First you are shown the whole layout: the platforms, the gaps, the traps and the pickups, all visible and all still. Then the lights go out.

In the second phase the platforms are gone from the screen but not from the level. They are still there, exactly where you saw them, and the only way to confirm one is to land on it. Touching a platform reveals it for good, so a run becomes the map of a place you have already visited, redrawn a piece at a time.

That turns ordinary platforming decisions upside down. A safe route you can remember beats a fast route you cannot, and the instinct to keep moving is exactly the instinct that walks you into a gap. Players who do well are the ones who pause and picture the screen again before jumping.

The jump itself has depth to match. A tap gives a short hop and holding gives a higher arc, and some levels grant a double jump that only exists while you are powered up. Getting a landing wrong by half a platform is usually a memory error rather than a timing one, which is a rare thing for a game like this.
