Description

Avenger Guard is a defense game where your towers are heroes and heroes are built by merging. Two identical defenders combine into a stronger variant, and the strong ones are the only things that hold later waves.

That creates the usual merge tension. Merging immediately keeps the board clear and leaves you with mid-tier heroes; holding pieces back for a bigger combination is stronger but takes space you need for the wave arriving now.

Placement decides whether the merge was worth it. Some heroes cover a wide area and belong where paths converge; others hit hard in a narrow space and are wasted anywhere but a choke point. Putting a strong hero in a poor position is the most common way a good board still loses.

Enemy types force adjustment. A lineup that shreds light infantry can be useless against armored or flying waves, so the setup that cleared the last level is a starting point rather than an answer.

How to Play:

Merge: Drag identical heroes together for a stronger variant
Place: Position heroes along the routes enemies actually take
Match the spot: Wide-coverage heroes at junctions, heavy hitters at choke points
Collect: Rewards from kills pay for upgrades and new hero types
Adapt: Armored and flying waves need a different lineup
