Description

Magic Bottles gives you a row of bottles filled with layered colored liquid and one goal: end with every bottle holding a single color. Pouring is the only move you have.

One rule shapes everything. A layer can only go onto the same color or into an empty bottle, so the color you need is regularly trapped under two others and has to be unstacked somewhere first. Where that somewhere is turns out to be the entire puzzle.

Empty bottles are the resource, and spending them early is the mistake nearly everyone makes. Tip one color into an empty just to get it out of the way and you have removed the only workspace you had — the level is not lost yet, but it usually is a few pours later.

Later levels add colors and take bottles away, which tightens the same problem rather than changing it. Nothing is timed, an undo is available for the pour you regret, and a level can be restarted cleanly when the layout has closed itself off.

Game Controls

How to Play:

Select: Tap a bottle to lift its top layer of liquid
Pour: Tap a second bottle to pour that layer in
The rule: Liquid only goes onto the same color or into an empty bottle
Protect the empties: They are your only workspace — do not fill them casually
Undo: Take back a pour, or restart the level if it has locked up
