Description

1945 Air Force is a vertical shooter in the old arcade shape — your fighter at the bottom of the screen, enemy formations pouring down from the top, and very little time to think.

The guns fire on their own, which sounds like a simplification and is really the point. With shooting taken off your hands, everything comes down to where your plane is, and the enemy fire is dense enough to make that a full-time job. The safe gap is usually a lot narrower than it looks and moves as you watch it.

Power-ups drop from destroyed formations, and grabbing them means flying into the space those formations just occupied. That is the recurring gamble: the upgrade you need is almost always sitting in the part of the screen you would otherwise be avoiding.

Special attacks clear the screen outright, but you get few of them, so the temptation is to hold one back and then die holding it. Runs are short, restarts are immediate, and improvement is measured in how far into the waves you get.

How to Play:

Move: Drag with the mouse or your finger — the plane follows the cursor
Shooting: Automatic, so put all your attention on dodging
Power-ups: Fly over dropped items to collect weapon upgrades
Special attack: Tap the button to clear the screen when it gets too dense
Read the gaps: Bullet patterns move — aim for where the gap is going, not where it is
