Description

Noob vs Pro Squid Challenge is three short mini-games played by two people on the same keyboard, one as Noob and one as Pro.

Each stage asks for a different sort of timing. One is about moving forward only in the windows where moving is allowed, which punishes the instinct to keep going. Another puts both players on the same hazard and rewards whoever reads it rather than whoever reacts first.

Because the rounds are short, a mistake costs almost nothing and a rematch takes seconds — which is what makes it work as a game to hand a controller back and forth over rather than something to work through alone.

Playing cooperatively is possible, but the stages are more interesting when the two players are competing, since watching the other one commit first is genuinely useful information.
