Description

Two sides, red and blue, and a camp that starts small. Everything you eventually send into battle comes out of what you build first, so the opening minutes are spent on the base rather than on the fighting.

Squads are commanded rather than controlled one by one. You point a crowd of soldiers at something and they go, which means the decision you are actually making is where to commit numbers and when to hold them back.

Vehicles are the other half. Tanks change what a push can survive, and you can get into one yourself instead of watching from above — a shift from commanding to fighting that the game lets you make whenever the line needs it.

Attacking and defending trade off against each other, because an army sent forward is an army not standing between the enemy and your camp. Upgrades accumulate across the battle, so the side that developed faster usually decides it before the last fight happens.
