Emergency Operator
Description
Emergency Operator sits you at a switchboard and starts putting calls through. Someone describes a situation, and you decide who goes: fire, police, an ambulance, or nobody at all. That last option is real and using it correctly is part of the job.
The calls are written to be read rather than skimmed. The service that seems obvious from the first sentence is often not the one the caller actually needs, and the detail that settles it usually arrives late. Deciding early is how most players lose accuracy without noticing.
Sending the wrong team is a mistake in both directions. Dispatching a crew that was not needed ties up a service that another call is about to want, while missing a genuine emergency has an obvious cost. The game is asking you to be right rather than helpful.
Accuracy is what earns promotions, so the rank you reach is a straightforward record of how carefully you listened. Calls are short, the pressure comes from volume rather than from a timer, and a run tends to go wrong in a stretch rather than on a single call.
