Description

Empires of Arkeia is a defense strategy game fought island by island across a contested archipelago. Enemies come at your position, and what stops them is the troops you summoned and the order you summoned them in.

Resources are the constraint. Filling the field with cheap units early holds the first attacks and leaves nothing for the wave that needed something heavier; saving for the expensive troop means surviving the meantime with less than you would like.

Upgrades are where a campaign compounds. A unit that has been improved between battles handles fights that would previously have cost you two of them, so investing in what already works beats spreading resources across everything you have unlocked.

Magic sits on top of that as the answer to a breach — expensive, limited, and worth holding until the moment the line actually fails rather than spending it when things merely look tense.
