Description

Falling Party puts a crowd of players on a floor made of picture tiles. An image flashes up, every tile that does not match it is about to disappear, and you have a few seconds to find the one that does and be standing on it.

The catch is that everybody needs the same tile. When four people spot it at once the safe square turns into a scrum, and staying on it means holding your ground while they shove into you. Being first to the answer is not enough if you get pushed off it.

That leaves two ways to play. You can read the picture fast and sprint, or you can hang back, let somebody else find the tile, and arrive just in time to knock them off it. Neither is against the rules, and both are regularly the reason you lose.

Rounds last seconds and anyone who falls is out immediately, which keeps the whole thing moving. Going out early stings less than it should, because the next round starts before you have finished complaining about the last one.

Controls are movement and nothing else — arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe on a phone. Pushing happens by running into people, so there is no button to learn and no advantage to having played before.
