Description

The Fancy Pants Adventure: World 2 is the sequel, and it does what a good sequel does — the same movement in much larger levels. The Mayor has taken the ice cream you were owed, which is all the plot it needs.

Momentum still runs everything. Speed carries you up walls, downhill slopes turn into slides, and a run taken at full pace opens routes that walking simply cannot reach. Slowing down to be careful is what makes sections difficult.

Enemies are obstacles rather than fights: spiders, giant snails and rats that are armed this time. You jump on them or you avoid them, which keeps the pace of a level intact.

Levels are wide enough to hide a great deal, and the spiral trophies scattered through them are the reason to explore rather than sprint to the exit. The hand-drawn look is unchanged and still the best thing about it after the running.
