Description

Minicraft Chef Cake Wars is a race for ingredients between two players on one keyboard. Flour, salt and milk float around the arena in balloons, and the first chef to collect ten of them wins the round.

Platforming decides most of it. Balloons drift to awkward heights, and the double jump is what reaches the ones your opponent gives up on. Knowing which platform to launch from before the balloon gets there matters more than reacting quickly once it has.

Then there is the push. Knocking your opponent away at the moment they are reaching for a balloon is legal, effective, and the main reason rounds end in argument. It also leaves you standing still for a beat, so using it every time is a good way to lose the balloon you were both chasing.

Rounds are quick — ten ingredients does not take long — which makes it a game played in fives rather than singles.
