Description

You are at the wheel of a fast boat on open water with a coast guard patrol on your tail. The throttle is effectively always open; what you steer is the line you take, and the line that loses the patrol is not always the line that keeps you out of trouble ahead.

Water is not a road. A boat carries its turn well past the point you stopped asking for it, so a course correction has to start earlier than instinct suggests. Cutting close to an obstacle at speed usually ends with the stern swinging into the thing you just missed.

Storms are the other half of the pressure. Rough water slows a boat and takes away the fine control that dodging needs, so the stretch where you most want to be precise is the stretch where you are least able to be. Getting through one is largely about having chosen a wide line before it arrived.

Controls are the arrow keys or WASD on a computer and the mouse on a phone, and neither needs more than direction. Runs are short and the reset is quick, which suits a game where most of what you learn is where the water opens up and where it does not.
