Description

Node Conquest lays out a circuit board of forts connected by lanes, and the number printed on each one shows its garrison. Blue nodes are yours, grey ones are unclaimed, and red ones belong to the enemy. Tapping your own base and then a neighbouring node sends part of that garrison down the lane between them.

A counter follows every attack as it travels, so a lane reading INCOMING 7 tells both sides exactly what is about to land. Defence matters as much as the size of the push, because some forts carry a bonus. A node marked 20% DEF absorbs part of whatever arrives, and taking it with the force that cleared an open node will simply fail.

Command points sit in the top corner and refill as the mission goes on. They pay for stances and the two powers on the bar: Overdrive to push an attack harder, and Aegis to hold ground you cannot afford to lose. Spending everything on the first push leaves nothing when the counterattack starts.

Missions are short and named, beginning with Fort Assault, and a clock runs throughout each one. The map is small enough to read at a glance, which puts the whole challenge in choosing which node to take next rather than moving quickly.
