Sudoblock Daily
Description
Sudoblock Daily takes the empty 9x9 grid you know from Sudoku and turns it into a playground for block puzzle fans. Instead of writing numbers, you grab small block pieces from a tray at the bottom and drop them onto the board. The goal is simple to read but tricky to master: keep the grid as empty as you can. Every time you complete a full row, a full column, or one of the nine 3x3 boxes, those squares clear out and free up space for the next set of pieces.
What makes the game tick is the constant juggling of three different ways to score. A row clear is fast and obvious, a column clear comes from playing tall, and a 3x3 box clear is the satisfying one because it forces you to think locally and globally at the same time. Lining up a play that pops two of those at once feels great. Lining up three feels even better. The pieces themselves come in irregular shapes, the kind that almost fit but never quite leave the board the way you wanted, so every drop is a tiny commitment you have to plan ahead for.
The Daily part is the hook. Every day brings a fresh, fixed set of pieces and a unique board layout, so everyone playing that day is solving the exact same puzzle. It is the kind of bite-sized challenge you can pick up between meetings, finish in a few minutes, and walk away from feeling like you actually used your brain for something other than meetings. The portrait layout works perfectly on a phone, the controls are pure tap and drag, and there is nothing to learn beyond the first puzzle.
For anyone who likes Sudoku for the logic but wishes it was a bit more tactile, or likes block puzzle games but wants more shape than just dumping pieces randomly, this sits right in the middle. It rewards patient placement and punishes greedy plays, the way a good puzzle should. Come back tomorrow, the board will be different, and the small daily ritual is half the fun.
Game Controls
How to Play:
• Drag a block piece from the tray at the bottom onto the 9x9 grid
• Place pieces wherever they fit — you cannot rotate or overlap them
• Complete a full row, column, or one of the nine 3x3 boxes to clear those squares and earn points
• Try to clear multiple lines or boxes in one move for bonus scoring
• If no more pieces fit anywhere on the board, the run ends — come back tomorrow for a brand new puzzle
