Description

Hook Pin Jam is a puzzle about sequence. Each level is a tangle of hooks and pins, and releasing them is a single tap — the difficulty is entirely in which one you tap first.

Hooks block each other. One cannot come free until the pin holding it has cleared, and that pin may be held by something else. So a level is really a chain of dependencies, and reading it backward from the last hook is usually faster than guessing forward from the first.

Any level can be brute-forced eventually, but each has a minimum number of moves, and the game keeps track. Finding that solution is a different exercise from merely clearing the board — it means seeing the whole sequence before you touch anything.

New hook types arrive as you progress and change the dependencies rather than the rules, so the puzzles get longer without getting more complicated to understand. Levels take a minute or two each.
