Description

Agent Squad is a shooter seen from directly above. That single choice decides how it plays: nothing is hidden behind a wall you cannot see past, and every enemy in the room is on screen from the moment you enter.

Knowing where everyone is does not make it easy, though. It moves the difficulty from reacting to planning, since walking into a crossfire is something you did rather than something that happened to you.

The guns are the progression. Coins from cleared levels unlock and upgrade them, and they differ in more than damage — a weapon that suits a corridor is wasted in an open room.

Movement is a slide on a phone or the keyboard on a computer, and there is nothing else to learn. Levels are short, which suits a game where a bad opening usually means restarting rather than recovering.
