Description

You play the king rather than the tower. Enemies march at the castle and your skills are what stops them, so the defence is something you cast rather than something you build and leave standing.

Money comes from what you kill and goes into weapons and power-ups. Both matter, and they are not the same purchase: a better weapon raises what you do every wave, while a power-up is one large answer held for the moment a wave gets through.

Heroes fight alongside the magic and take pressure off it. Leaning entirely on spells drains you before the wave ends; leaning entirely on heroes leaves nothing for the enemies that outclass them. The kingdom holds when both are doing part of the work.

A final boss is coming and the waves before it are, in effect, the shopping window. Clearing them efficiently is worth less than clearing them profitably, because what you buy along the way is the only thing that will still matter when it arrives.
