Description

Ocean Small Hospital puts a clinic inside a submarine and sends injured sea creatures to it. A turtle with something caught on its shell, a seal with a wound, a fish that swallowed the wrong thing. Each patient arrives with a problem and a set of tools that will fix it.

The teaching is in the order. You cannot bandage before you clean, and you cannot clean before you have looked, so every treatment is a small sequence a child has to work out rather than a button to press. Getting it wrong does not punish; it just does not work yet.

Each animal is different enough that the sequence has to be learned again. What helps a turtle is not what helps a seal, and the game quietly teaches which creature is which along the way.

It is aimed at younger children and it is gentle throughout: nothing is timed, nothing is scary, and every patient gets better. As a first game about care rather than competition, it does the job well.
