Trivia Nation is a straight quiz game with more than four hundred questions spread across categories that barely overlap: sport, history, cinema, science and several more. You pick one answer out of four, and the next question follows immediately.

The scoring rewards speed as well as correctness, so the game is less about what you know and more about how quickly you can be sure of it. A confident wrong answer costs the same as a slow right one, which is a fair description of most pub quizzes too.

Because the categories are broad, nobody sweeps them all. Someone who can name every league champion since 1990 will stall on the chemistry round, and the person who rescues them there will have no idea who directed anything. That imbalance is what makes it work with a group.

It plays solo as a short brain warm-up and in company as a passing-the-phone game, with questions available in several languages. Sessions run a few minutes, and the pool is large enough that questions rarely repeat.
