Description

Speedrun Platformer is the format everybody grew up with. Run right, jump on monsters, collect coins, reach the end. What it adds is a clock, and the clock changes what the levels are for.

Played normally, the levels are gentle. Played for time, the same layout turns into a route problem: which coins are on the way and which cost you two seconds, whether a monster is a hazard or a shortcut to bounce off, where you can afford to stop.

Hidden crystals pull in the opposite direction. They sit off the fast line, so a run that finds them is not a run that tops the leaderboard — you end up playing each level twice, with two different goals.

The pixel art is deliberately plain and the levels are short, which is exactly right for something meant to be repeated. It plays on a keyboard or a phone.
