Headless Joe
Description
Joe is a robot who has lost his head, and each level is a small machine standing between him and getting it back on. You do not move him with a keyboard; you work the level around him, pressing buttons, turning levers and calling elevators so that the path assembles itself in front of him.
The bolts scattered through each level are the other half of the job. Collecting all of them is what actually secures the head, and they usually sit off the safe route, so a level solved the quick way is a level solved incompletely. Stars mark how thoroughly you finished, and chasing all of them is the real challenge.
Joe himself is the fragile part. He breaks on a drop that most platform characters would shrug off, so a lever pulled in the wrong order is not a small mistake but a restart. Thinking one step further ahead than feels necessary is the habit this game rewards.
Everything runs through the mouse on a computer and a touch on a phone, with P or Escape to pause and R to start the level again. The restart is instant, which suits a puzzle game where most of the learning comes from watching a plan fail once.
