Description

Cake Merge 2 puts a small tray in front of you and a queue of plates beside it. Each plate carries one or more slices of cake, and each slice has a colour. Set a plate down so its slices touch slices of the same colour and they join. Gather enough of one colour and the cake completes itself and lifts off the tray.

The catch is that plates rarely hold a single flavour. A plate with strawberry on one edge and chocolate on the other can either link two clusters at once or wedge itself between them and block both. Deciding which edge matters more is where the difficulty sits.

Space is the resource. Every plate you put down without a match stays there, and a tray that starts open closes fast. Levels are built so a careless opening still looks fine four moves in and then leaves you with nowhere to put the one plate you needed.

The sequel widens the dessert list and mixes in plate shapes the first game never used, but it keeps the pace unhurried. There is no clock, only the tray, and you can sit on a move for as long as you like before committing.
