Ludo World
Description
Four sets of tokens race from the edge of the board to the square in the middle, and the dice decide how far anything moves. That much is the classic game. What makes a turn interesting is that the dice give you a number, not a choice of number, and you still have to pick which token uses it.
Landing on an opponent token sends it back to its start, undoing however far it had come. That single rule is why a token sitting one space short of safety is a target rather than an achievement, and why the obvious move — advancing your leading token — is often the wrong one.
There is a classic mode and a quick mode, and they reward different play. The long game gives you room to recover from a token being sent home; the short one does not, so a captured token in quick mode is closer to a loss than to a setback.
A trophy road runs alongside the matches and sub-quests hand out extra rewards for playing in particular ways. Those give a reason to keep going after a bad roll, which matters in a game where the dice can simply refuse to cooperate for several turns.
