Description

Ludo descends from pachisi, the Indian board game played on cloth boards for centuries, and it has barely changed. Four colours, four tokens each, one dice, and a circuit that every token has to complete before it can climb into the centre. Getting all four home first wins.

A six does two things: it lets a token leave the yard and it gives you another roll. That single rule is why the game swings so hard. Landing on a square occupied by an opponent sends their token back to the start, which can undo twenty turns of progress in one throw and is the reason nobody plays this quietly.

The decisions are smaller than in chess but they are real. Do you bring a fourth token out or push the leader closer to home, spread your pieces or keep them stacked, take the capture or stay out of range. Safe squares change the arithmetic, and so does knowing who is one roll behind you.

Ludo Wizard covers all three ways people actually play: against bots when you want a quick round, against random opponents online, or in a private room where you share a code with friends and nobody else can join.
