Echo

Echo is a dark little board in navy and gold, with its motto printed under the title: every move comes back. Balls and gems sit on a grid of round cells, and the whole thing moves to a count.

The rules are laid out in four lines. Drag a ball and it moves one square. Every three turns, every ball you have moved repeats its move, forever. Balls smash gems of their own colour, and you have to break them all before the moves run out.

So a move is never just a move. Pushing a ball onto a gem took the gem count from three to two and the moves from twelve to eleven, and left a dashed ghost square beside the ball, showing the step that will play itself again.

The fourth line is where the game comes alive: line several up for the same beat and you have a combo. A daily echo gives everyone the same board until midnight, and a wait button and a single erase sit under the grid.
