Description

Home Block Story runs a block puzzle and a house renovation next to each other. Three blocks arrive at a time in irregular shapes, and slotting them so a full row or column vanishes is what frees space for the next awkward piece.

Because you cannot choose what comes next, the pressure is always about leaving room for a shape you have not seen yet. Thinking two pieces ahead is what separates a board that keeps going from one that jams.

The house is what the clearing is for. Every completed board earns progress toward renovating a room — a shabby living room gets new floors, then a sofa, then something on the walls — and finishing one opens the next: a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, on through the whole place.

Difficulty comes from the shapes rather than speed. Early boards hand you pieces with room to spare; later ones bring bulky squares and awkward L-pieces that force you to plan a route through the grid, and chaining two or three line clears in one move is what pays for the decor.
