Home Block Story

Home Block Story takes the classic drop-shapes-onto-a-grid puzzle and stitches it to a home renovation meta-game. The board on the right is where the puzzle lives. You get three blocks at a time in odd, irregular shapes, and you need to slot them onto the grid so that complete rows or columns light up and vanish. Every clear frees up space for the next awkward piece, and the pressure is always about thinking two shapes ahead.

What sets it apart from a pure endless-block game is the house you are building on the side. Every cleared board and every puzzle goal hit earns you progress toward renovating a new room. First a shabby living room starts getting new floors, then a sofa, then wall art. Finish that space and the game unlocks the next one: a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and on through the whole house. The puzzle side feeds the decor side, and the decor side is what keeps you playing after you hit your usual "one more round" wall.

Difficulty scales the way this genre always does. Early boards hand you easy shapes with plenty of room to breathe. Later on you start getting awkward L-pieces, bulky squares, and combinations that force you to plan routes through the grid instead of just dropping blocks wherever. Clever placement lets you set up chain clears where two or three lines vanish in a single move, which is the trick to surviving the later boards and stacking up extra currency for the decor catalog.

It is a relaxed game with real teeth once it gets going. No timer hanging over your head, no bouncing enemies, just a grid, three incoming blocks, and a house waiting to be finished. If you like tidy block puzzles and the little hit of satisfaction that comes from seeing a sad empty room turn into somewhere you would actually want to sit, Home Block Story is the one that combines both cleanly.

How to Play:

• Drag a block from the tray onto an empty area of the grid
• Fill a full row or column to clear those tiles and free up space
• Chain multiple line clears in one move for bigger rewards
• Use cleared tiles and puzzle rewards to unlock new furniture and decor
• Complete each room to move on to the next part of the house
