Motor Tour

Motor Tour puts the same bike into three situations and lets you pick which one you are in the mood for. There is a race against rivals, an endless ride with no finish line, and a traffic run where the reward comes from passing close rather than passing cleanly.

Those three pull in different directions. Racing rewards holding a line and defending position, the endless ride rewards conserving speed, and the traffic run actively pays you for taking risks the other two would punish.

The traffic run is built around a countdown. Checkpoint gates along the road top the clock back up, so the points you earn for passing close are also what keeps the run alive. A high-speed bonus pays on top of that, which is why the fastest lane is usually the crowded one.

Upgrades go into the bike between runs, and a faster bike changes the traffic run most of all. More speed means the gaps arrive sooner, so the near miss that felt controlled at one level of upgrade becomes a collision at the next.
